Vijay Sethupathi, a celebrated figure in the film industry, has publicly responded to recent discussions regarding his son, Surya Vijay Sethupathi, and his entry into acting with the movie 'Phoenix'.
At the premiere of 'Phoenix', Vijay Sethupathi expressed his gratitude to the film's crew and the audience in attendance. He conveyed his hope that the film would resonate positively with viewers in theaters, according to India Glitz reports.
The celebratory mood was briefly overshadowed by allegations that the actor pressured people to remove certain videos about his son from the internet. In response to inquiries from reporters, Vijay Sethupathi clarified, "If something like that happened, it might have been done unknowingly or by someone else. I sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt or misunderstood the intention."
'Phoenix' received a significant boost when superstar Thalapathy Vijay watched the film privately before its release and gave the team his feedback. Director Anal Arasu, a well-known stunt choreographer, shared a photo on social media with Vijay and Surya, adding, "Bloody sweet! That’s the vibe after Thalapathy Vijay sir watched Phoenix and shared his MERSAL MAXX words! The Phoenix is flying on FIRE now!”
Although Vijay didn't release a public review, his support greatly touched Surya Vijay Sethupathi, who reshared the post, expressing his gratitude: “Thank you, Vijay sir. The last hug, the kind words, the warmth — it meant everything. I’ve always looked up to you, and to feel your support on this journey is something I’ll never forget.”
'Phoenix', directed by Anal Arasu, features Surya Vijay Sethupathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Devadarshini, and Sampath. Velraj is the cinematographer, Sam C.S. composed the music, and Praveen K.L. handled the editing.
'Phoenix' is now in theaters and has been receiving favorable reviews.
