Rajgir was officially named as the venue for the 2025 Men’s Asia Cup after Hockey India signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the same with the Bihar State Sports Authority on Monday.
The eight-team tournament, a qualifying event for the 2026 World Cup, will be held from August 29-September 7 at the Rajgir Sports Complex and will be the second big ticket event at the venue after the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy last year. The Hindu had been the first to report about the same back in November.
Besides India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China and Malaysia will be participating to book a World Cup spot with two teams qualifying from the AHF Cup.
